ChatterBox Reviews
I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Chatterbox Media.
When they first approached me to document the journey of Butterflies Rising Funeral Care, I will admit I was incredibly nervous. In fact, I originally did not want to do it at all. We were a brand new independent funeral director, still growing and still finding our feet, and the thought of cameras during such deeply personal and emotional moments felt overwhelming. This business is my heart, born from losing my mum, and allowing the world to see behind the scenes felt very exposing.
But from our very first conversation, I felt they truly understood the heart behind what we do. This was never just about filming a business, it was about telling a story with meaning, about showing that funeral care can be different, gentle and deeply personal.
Throughout the entire process, their team were nothing short of exceptional. They worked around incredibly sensitive and emotional moments with such respect and compassion. During the most difficult times, when families were in deep grief, Chatterbox conducted themselves with complete professionalism and empathy. They were quiet when they needed to be, supportive when it mattered, and always mindful that they were stepping into very personal spaces.
I have to make special mention of Lydia, the producer, who was simply incredible. Her filming was thoughtful and beautifully executed, but it was her questioning that truly stood out. The way she spoke to me, to my staff, and to the families we were caring for was gentle, considered and deeply respectful. She allowed people space to speak, to feel and to be heard without ever making anything feel intrusive. She brought warmth and reassurance into every room she entered, and she made me feel safe enough to open up, even when I felt nervous.
What they have produced is something I am so proud of. They have presented Butterflies Rising beautifully and authentically. They captured not just the aesthetic of our parlour, but the soul of it, the love, the care and the intention behind every detail. So many people have reached out since the documentary aired saying how comfortable it made them feel about discussing death, a subject that is still so often seen as taboo. That, to me, is powerful.
They have shown the public that funeral care can be gentle, modern, compassionate and deeply human. They have shown how much genuine love goes into caring for lost loved ones and the families left behind.
Chatterbox Media did not just document our journey, they honoured it.
I will always be grateful for the way they told our story.
